I was born to two parents (now I’ve got you hooked) who were both theater people. My dad tried to get me into football as well but being the clown was the only thing that stuck. I continued to practice theater until eventually pursuing it professionally at Pace University, where I earned by BFA in Musical Theater (graduation May 2025) There I was trained in several acting styles, vocal technique, dance, clowning, improvisation and sketch comedy.
Daniel Shain Graf is a theater professional from Yorktown Heights, New York. I was raised nearly 45 minutes from Manhattan and I must’ve sensed my proximity to it all, because before I could walk I was quoting Tango Maureen “this is weird, fuckin’ weird” to anyone who would hear me out. 20-something years later and I haven't changed all that much. Since I was around 2 I’ve been entertaining strangers and I aim to keep that streak alive as I enter this next step in my exciting career.
Aside from theater, I feel safest on my skateboard. I often take long rides and get crazy lost to clear my head or enjoy some adventure. I also find a lot of passion in history and learning about biology and physics. I also feel strongly about self exploration and meditation, and I talk to myself a lot. I appreciate people with strong opinions, people who wonder, and people who prefer cats. A summary of me in a passion is my passion for enjoyment, because even my pain, like my joy, like myself, is temporary- So why not soak it in while I can?
